Dark Star

Independent cassette label run by Alan and Steve Freeman of Leicester, UK circa 1983-86. Most releases on the label are projects involving the Freeman brothers, in the realms of experimental noise, industrial and electronic music. "Difficult Music" as Dave Henderson called it in his Sounds "Wild Planet" features. In 1986, along with the launch of Audion Magazine, Dark Star was re-branded as Auricle and came from the ashes of Musiques Nouvelles Label (81-83) and the short-livedSyzygy-Label (1983)
