Michel Redolfi (b. 1951) is a French electroacoustic composer and experimental musician, 1996 Prix Ars Electronica recipient, best known for his original 'Underwater Music' concept. He was primarily active in the United States from the mid-seventies to the late eighties, and had collaborated with several notable American composers and musicians live and in studio, including Terry Riley, Jon Hassell, Steve Shehan, Dan Harris (3), and John Cage. Many of his ambient and electroacoustic albums were inspired by great American landscapes.
