Composed February & March 1968 in Madison, Connecticut.
Commissioned by the City of Cologne for the 'Collegium Vocale', Cologne, an ensemble at the Rheinische Musikschule.
Recorded at West German Radio (WDR) Cologne on October 30th & 31st 1969.
This recording was sung without interruption, and was transferred to disc without any alteration or improvement.

Includes insert with English and French translations of the liner notes.
This record was also included in the Avantgarde Vol. 3 box set, with a different sleeve & catalog# 2561 043.
