Werk Één (Work One) is an excellent K7 of electronics by Belgium’s Polar Praxis who appeared on BLOODY BUT CHIC and NOISY BUT CHIC. These 17 studio recordings from 1982-83 range in styles and approaches. Some tracks are electronic trance/drone pieces with an abrasive edge and others feature jangly, disjointed oddly-tuned (and played) electric guitar, bass and screeching synth. Possible parallels (not comparisons or influences) could be made to F/i or Occupant. Aggressive minimal electronics with a biting rock edge to it. Comes with one of four color xerox covers.
